Analysis of citizen reporting programs for improving the quality of judicial services in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions

The main objective of the project was to analyze the implementation of recommendations provided to courts based on the results of citizen surveys on their satisfaction with the quality of court functioning using the Citizen Report Card (CRC) methodology in Kharkiv and Sumy regions in 2014–2015. To achieve the project objectives, the following activities were carried out:
-analysis of the implemented CRC survey program in pilot courts and assessment of the consideration and implementation of previously provided recommendations;
-work with pilot courts to facilitate the development of action plans aimed at improving the quality of court services based on previously provided recommendations;
-development of additional recommendations to improve court functioning, including the implementation of the CRC survey program at the national level;
-dissemination of the research results among courts, judicial authorities, the public and the media;
-development and implementation of initiatives to develop the sustainability of the CGZ methodology and involve the public in assessing the quality of judicial services.

Based on the results of the analysis, an analytical report was prepared, which contains a detailed description of the measures taken and recommendations of the Institute’s experts for the courts.
