“Expert support for the development and implementation of regional compensation mechanisms for homeowners in Kharkiv Oblast whose property was destroyed or damaged as a result of the Russian Federation’s armed aggression.”
On April 30, 2024, the project implemented by the public organization ‘Institute of Applied Humanitarian Research’ with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine’s Democracy Fund was completed.
The year of project activity was extremely productive and confirmed the importance of systematic expert work during a challenging period for the region. Within the framework of the initiative, professional support was provided for processes aimed at the development and implementation of regional compensation mechanisms for homeowners whose properties were damaged or destroyed as a result of the war. High recognition from local government bodies, lawyers in the city of Kharkiv, and representatives of communities in Kharkiv Oblast testified to the effectiveness and social significance of this work.

The goal was to provide expert support for the development and implementation of regional compensation mechanisms for homeowners whose properties were damaged or destroyed as a result of the Russian Federation’s armed aggression.

The year of activity was productive and confirmed the effectiveness of the project. Numerous letters of appreciation and positive feedback were received from community representatives, lawyers, and local authorities in Kharkiv Oblast.
