Improving the electoral process in Ukraine

In the run-up to the elections in Ukraine, changes were made to the electoral legislation, which created a need for training for key participants in the electoral process. In particular, the courts were not ready to apply the updated provisions of the law, which could have affected the conduct of the elections.

In response, a series of trainings were organized in all regions of Ukraine. The trainings lasted three days: the first day was for judges, the second day was for election commission secretaries, and the third day was for representatives of the public and the media.

The project was unique in that it had to be implemented within one month in seven entities, with several teams working simultaneously in different oblasts. This approach allowed for the coverage of all key groups of electoral participants and their readiness to work in the new legislative environment.
