Institutional development of think tanks
Strengthening the analytical and organizational potential of the NGO "Institute for Applied Humanitarian Research" and ensuring the implementation of the development strategy became a key objective of the project "Institutional Development of Think Tanks". The project was aimed at strengthening the organizational and analytical capacity of think tanks in accordance with the best European and global practices.
The main goal of the project was to improve the strategic planning system, increase the transparency of internal processes, clearly distinguish strategic and operational functions, as well as increase the efficiency of management decisions and the quality of analytical activities. Within the framework of the project, the organization's strategic documents were updated, modern management standards were introduced, external communications and interaction with partners were strengthened. The implemented measures contributed to the professionalization of the activities of the NGO "Institute of Applied Humanitarian Research" and created a solid foundation for its sustainable institutional development.
The project was implemented from September 2019 to January 2021 with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation in partnership with the Open Society Initiative for Europe (OSIFE) with financial support from the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine.

Institutional development allows think tanks to work more systematically and effectively, improve the quality of analytical products, and ensure sustainability. A strong institution is better able to respond to societal challenges and contribute to public policy formation.

The project contributed to the improvement of internal management processes, the development of the team's professional competencies, and the improvement of the quality of analytical work. It also strengthened internal coordination and expanded the Institute's partnerships.

The project results are useful for authorities, civil society organizations, the expert community, and the wider public. Strengthening the institutional capacity of the Institute allows for the creation of better analytical materials and recommendations for decision-making.

The project laid the foundation for the Institute’s further sustainable development, enhancing its organizational resilience and capacity to implement complex analytical initiatives. This allows the Institute to continue to effectively engage in the processes of reform, restoration, and democratic development of Ukraine.
